That's how it starts,then it's the transfer case or rear end and the next thing you know you're buying a trail rig!

There's one up around the area called broke back mountain,it's pretty bad and once you commit that's it!
That's where i cracked my transfer case, among other things.

 

I think you should just braid a driveshaft out of 550 paracord.

Yup a 375 will take 38 no issues.

 

At this point, your Runner IS a trail rig, you'd be better off getting a daily driver.

I dunno about 375 but 357 matches up with 38 nicely

John, I actually did something similar the other weekend. I took out the old WWII Russian rifle and beat the shit out of my shoulder. I put as many rounds as I could take through it, then went to the light pistol. Damn thing has quite a kick to it but it's a blast to shoot.

 

My thoughts as well, but I love my truck as a daily too

Not quite as bad as your double barrel with game load. Yours was worse because of the narrow wood stock. My WWII rifle used to have a metal butt plate but I swapped stocks for an adjustable one with a rubber pad. This one just hurt because I put quite a few rounds through it in a short amount of time. Believe it or not, it's still my favorite gun to shoot of the ones I currently own.

That is true. In my case, it's the oldest and what used to be the ugliest (although with the new stock and trigger, it's a sexy bitch now!) The only thing I don't like about it is how long it takes to clean. I'm still using the old spam can ammo with the corrosive primers and it takes forever to loosen that crap up. I should start investing in Windex since I use half a bottle every time I clean it. The regular cleaners don't even phase it.
