So I have a 40hp yamaha 2 stroke that has been amazing. I went fishing last night to walk some flats and raised the motor up and noticed it moved forward about an inch. Lowered it back down to see what was going on and I can jiggle the motor forward an backwards about and inch and half or so. I do know that there seems to be it is designed for some movement for engine vibrations but I know not this much. For example it sea loose around the driveshaft area that where most of the movement is. I've been trying to find something on the Internet so I don't have to take the motor apart yet since those parts or part that seem to be broken are hidden. Any help is appreciated.

The Hull Truth is the boat forum of all boat forums. I'd post there with a video. Guarantee someone there will be able to help.

On a side note, what kind of flats boat you running?
