Why the difference in 2010 specs?

From the Toyota website:

-The short bed Prerunner is a Low Emissions Vehicle, but the long bed isn't?

-The short bed Prerunner has an electronically controlled rear differential available with an option, but the long bed doesn't. Why?

 

Not sure why the Emission Rating is different, but the elocker has never been a option with the long bed. Why, none seems to know, but some believe Toyota feels the true off road guys would not typically prefer the longer wheel base truck in demanding off road conditions requiring a locker.

 

Yep can only get the Sport in a long bed, not the Off Road.

 

Interesting, that I didn't know.
