Why do say Fram is shit I've almost always used them for both air/oil filters ,I get the heavy duty or what ever they call them no problems here oil always looks clean and I run synthetic for 4 to 6 thousand miles between changes.

I run strictly K&N or Mobil 1 oil filters.

If youneed an air filter, go with a TRD or K&N washable, or the AFE pro dry.

As for the belt, get ut from an advanced auto, autozone, orieles etc.

Theres too much cardboard inside them for my liking, and the bypass valve is made really poorly in them. not to mention i can order a case of OEM from ebay for about another $0.50 apiece, and id feel more comfortable with the OEM filter.

yeah... hes bought some no name paper filter, so im stuck with that but im definitely looking at getting the AFE next time, and be done with that. belts im not to picky on as ill keep the OEM as a spare anyway.

Well if thats all the more a piece they are gonna cost you then I would get them.I havent been Oem loyal for most parts only because alot of stuff is made by a few companies and rebranded saw it first hand when I used to work in a Lincoln Mercury dealer parts dept. years ago

the Toyota filters are the same way, they are made in Thailand for Denso, then Toyota buys them from Denso and re-brands them, however after seeing the guts of both i have more faith in the Thailand one the Fram's china ones

well...I SWEAR that my TRD oiled air filter is a K&N filter that just happens to be red and yellow instead of black and purple.

Yeah.. $500 on Amazon is not cool.... i just don't want to end up with a super loud exhaust..... but it seems that's what most of them do... i just want that low, deep tone that sounds nice but dosent get annoying, and dosent attract to much unwanted attention from the fun police

Well based on Homers suggestion I took another look at the Vacuum lines and did not find any thing wrong (unfortunately) so time to pay someone else to find out whats wrong.

You want a low grumble, leave it stock. Or put weld in a muffler. A cat back is going to make it loud and because its a v6, at any thing past about 2500rpm, all it will do is scream. So...enjoy the rumble and the scream or leave it stock and enjoy the rumble. Police will not bother you if you have a bolt on cat back.

    Bummer :(

Just keep a sack of gaskets for switching. Never reuse an exhaust gasket.
