Recently I have been expeirencing a problem that the traction control and the ABS light will randomly be on in my truck and will seem to just randomly shut off. Also my truck will not want to shift out of park this will happen with the light on or off. I did a quick search about the light and most guys had this problem after lifting their tacos' but mine is bone stock and mostly sees interstate time. Any advice on these problems would be greatly appreciated!

No sir to any mud or off road situations. I made a warranty appointment at the stealership for tomorrow I paid for it I might as well use it. They believe it is a "stop light switch (or sensor don't remember)" also I may be getting a new drive shaft to fix the famous wheel shake!! I will keep you updates in how it goes thanks for the input!

Not sure about Tacomas, but my LX470 (Land Cruiser) had similar issues and it was a wheel speed sensor. Pucker factor is strong at 75mph and the traction control takes over the vehicle and tries to lock up the right front wheel.

ABS error won't cause the engine to shut down.
A problem with the IGN-1 circuit will though.
Brake light switch will cause ABS and traction control lights, but it won't kill the engine.

What it will do though, is if throttle is above 25% and the switch makes contact, the engine will drop to idle.

I read the OP as the light randomly shuts off, not the engine.

Ahh... Could be the brake light switch then.
Do you have cruise, and if so, does the brake cancel it, and can you verify that your brake lights work?
Not sure about the Tacoma, but one of the ABS codes on my '95 Suburban was for brake light on without deceleration, and another code was for deceleration faster than "x" mph per second without a brake light.

I had this problem today also, called a friends Toyota repair shop and he said check to see if I had break lights, correct no brake lights, I went to his shop and he replaced 2 mini fuses, 10 amp one under the hood in the fuse box and other inside behind fold out storage box.
Not sure what blew the fuses but its working again and no ABS or traction control light on dash.

Sorry, don't remember if it was in the cab fuse or under the hood, look for tail light fuse.

I had same issue twice when I bought my 09. It turned out to be the "light actuator" both times.

CamoNBlaze, the ABS and the RSCA lights have come on and gone out sparaticly on my truck without me doing anything to them. When they do come on I can not shift out of park. Did you experience the same? You mention light actuator, part number? Exactly what is a light actuator and where is it on the truck? Is it the light switch on the steering column/turn signal arm? Greetings. Resurrecting the issue I have the same problem in my tacoma 2010, it turns out that sometimes it turns on the light of brake, traction control, abs and then turns them off and does not leave me a code in the computer I would like to know how I can solve that problem, because in this Topic talks about possible solutions but they do not say the right solution. Thank you

If you have Techstream or other ABS scanner, you can check to see if all the sensors are working properly.

Check the speed sensors and found one that had grease, it was the passenger side of the front, it seems that when I broke the bearing of the control arm there is a dirty sensor, I hope now when cleaning it stop turning on the lights. I did that since in youtube I found a video that talks about the same problem I have and the person solved it by cleaning the sensor that was full of fat and this caused that it could not read the sensor well. Then I'll let you know if the problem was solved and thank you very much Leggo for your suggestion, since for your opinion I found the video.
