If it costs a lot it's probably decent.

 

Idk exactly never weight or measured it. I think it was probably 10" maybe more and probably a good 8LBS just my guess. My reel broke some how so now I'm looking at getting a new one.

 

It's 25$ that's about all I want to spend on one for the rod it's going on. I think the whole rod and reel was about 25$.

 

Zach, I've had this one about 10 yrs. Use it 2 or 3 times a year for Reds and Silvers (salmon). Hasn't let me down and I like the feel and function of it. Nice Bass BTW.

 

They are good as long as you don't fish in salt water or at the beach. I had one two years ago and it last about 15 trips using it in the surf.

 

I suck at taking pics. It's a BOCA PTs model BSP50PTS; but it's a Quantum and has served me well.

 

Well I got it. New vs part of the old. Old one was an eagle glaw.

 

Another use for the bed tie downs.

I pulled it in about 5' just grabbing the line with my hands. Did not want to leave the lure in his mouth or lose it since it was my 1st time using it(Tennessee shad is what I caught it on)
Phill- don't fish in salt water or beach, for one none of that close to me and don't take it when I go. Just lakes and ponds with this rod with 12LBS line.

 

8 lbs? No freakin way that fish is 8lbs Zach!

Im saying somewhere around 2.5-3 lbs at most... The bass I posted the other night was 12" and 2.8 lbs!


And I have a rod and reel I can sell you! Or just reel... Abu Gracia Black Max low profile baitcaster... 30$ and its yours

idk it’s was kinda heavy, maybe 5lbs our rainbow trout average 2 to 3 easy and go up to around 5lbs and it was more than most the trout i have caught. like i said never weighed it so truly don’t know, just felt at least about 5 to 8lbs.


just cause thats the size yours was dose not mean thats what they all are. most fish range in size depending on where they are.


don’t really want a bait caster and thats more than the one i just got.

 

Lol. Give him a break. You know how it feels to catchable nice fish. The fish gets bigger the more you tell the story.

That's a hell of deal for that reel. I just bought my third one yesterday for $50 new.

 

1) rod and real are not rated for it(not saying it can’t be done, just have to have a light drag.
2) don’t want to eat up the rod eyes with braiding line.

may do it some time if i have a better high end rod made for braided line(such as spiderwire) but till than no need.

Lol. Its a joke. Just like peoples hunting stories. They can get exaggerated over time.

Tip: hold the fish straight out for the picture and it will look twice as big. Like this

 

My fishing set ups are kinda pricey. My trout rod/reel set up is about $100 and my bass rod/reel set up is around $125. I figure buy nicer stuff up front and it won't break or need to be replaced as soon. Buy cheap, buy twice is my motto.
