Just caught this picture of my truck as the storm is rolling into my neighborhood, notice the reflection of the lightning strike. Pretty freakin cool!

Oh crap, I thought I commented on it. I watched it during the usa game and must have forgotten to post. I am honestly not sure. I would consider pulling the r/r axle and making sure there's no abnormal wear marks by the new bearings. Just to ensure they pressed them properly.

 

i dont blame ya for forgetting. haha. but im kinda leaning towards the bearing now because when i pull in and out of my driveway im getting a clunk out of the rear end. i also didnt hear the noise at all today

I would pull the axle tonight but have you seen the weather tonight? haha

 

The storm is nasty at my house. Some in the area have had hail. Been storming about 45 minutes and still going strong.

 

I am pretty much in the lower portion of the yellow box that pops up.

 

yeah i was doing 25 down OBT on my way home from work and i thought some of the cars around me were gonna get hydrolocked.

Well, one is back together. Will get the other together in a little bit. Then seal them extra with that windshield sealant. Who knows, they might just make it back on the truck tomorrow.

Both are back together. Hopefully I can get the sealant on tonight and let it dry all night. Then just a couple more things to do before I can officially switch them over.

 

For you guys that don't have CVs here's what will never happen to you/what I might call you to come help me fix real quick. I had a great afternoon.

 

how hard is is to fix? I haven't had the joy yet.

 

it's easy as pie especially since that pos axle is under warranty and they can just give me a new one tomorrow, thanks to Eric (4banger 4x4) ill probably have cvi make me a new set to just have on me. Ive swapped a cv with the wheel still on before. yes it's possible
