If you think they really drained the new oil and replaced it with synthetic oil then your a trusting soul. I mean they can't get shit right anyway. Least they got some kind of something in it. My first service, they lost my valve caps which were metal and offered me plastics ones
in exchange. Drained the oil and just let it drain all over the engine. Didn't top the fluids off.
AND left the lugs loose on one of the wheels. Don't get your hopes up for next time either
cause it don't get any better.

All I wanted was the correct oil. Which synthetic is apparently not. The service manager has assured me the oil will be made right when I pick up my parts (and free hat :crapstorm:).
Really I just don't want Toyota to have this oil thing as a lame excuse if something goes wrong at 30,000 miles or whatever. That and a free t-shirt.:crapstorm::deadhorse:
I don't think this horse is getting up but just to be sure...

Yesterday morning I noticed a small pool of oil under my truck. I found a Gatorade bottle that was used to catch the oil from the filter stuck in the engine compartment. It had a hole from where it melted and the oil leaked all over the skid plate and was now leaking on my driveway. I drove right to the dealership. The service manager was not happy with the way my first experience at his place went describing it as "a comedy of errors". These guys really stepped up and made things right and were very apologetic. The service manager and the shop manager did a very thorough inspection. They changed the oil and filter again, removed the skid plate and cleaned the oil covered areas. Below is an email I sent after my return visit.

Oh and they detailed my truck for free!! So I got something for free!!

    Mark,

Thank you for an outstanding job this morning. Mr. Davis was great. I will request him for my next service appointment.

The fact you guys were willing to admit a mistake was made, then step up and make everything perfect says a lot about your service department.

Again, fantastic job and thank you.

Sorry I gave some of you the cancer.

Wait a minute...how does the oil drain upward onto the engine?

On the V6, the oil filter is on top, and can drain onto the engine when removed.

Well, maybe a little onto the front at best unless the guard/drain was missing, etc. But I get your drift...and I have a v6 also.
