I think it all depends on tire width, load rating, and tire type/weight to be honest.

With my 265/75R16 D rated tires I like to go around 12 in the rear, 15 in the front. I also never carry a heavy load in the bed. This is for off road parks mostly. When I trail ride locally I typically don't deflate at all but the trails we run in south Jersey are mostly hard sand and no rocks/roots.

I run 10-12 psi. That may be too low for your setup.

    I run Cooper S/T MAXX 265/70R17 E rated.

Most of the trails around here are rocky and/or wash board from being grated, all mixed with sand.

Those look decent, a quick Interwebz search shows that they looks like a perfect ripoff of the original Stuans. Haven't been able to find out where they are made.

A friend was at the Overland Expo this year and said the guys from Coyote Enterprise, creators of the Stuan II, were awesome. They took up the torch in this matter after Stuan USA and Australia closed shop in 2010.

I have no doubt that the Staun II's are high quality, the reason I went with cheaper deflators is that I realistically air down only 4-5 times a year.

Cool, I appreciate you opinion. I am out on a trail with a community service ham group 7-8 times a year. As the kids are getting order and I can take them, I am hoping to be our playing around 1-2 a month. So hopefully be airing down 1-3 times a month.

Haha shoes that were popular on the east coast.
"In LA we wear Chucks, not Ballys" is lyrics from California Love.
Figured since you are from California you would get the reference. haha

Looks awesome! I do think the side marker issue would drive me up the wall though.

Oh gotcha haha. I'm more of a Hank Williams type.

    Can't deny Wu-Tang though.

1.5x thread diameter as engagement is the maximum holding force dictated by thread construction.

Anything more is a waste less you're looking for vibration damping. Use thread sealer if you're worried about vibrations.
