    We had Crab Rangoon made from the leftover snow crab legs ( no such thing as leftover king crab ;) ) + steak and grilled halibut with some sides for dinner last night. It was delicious. :drool:

    Looks like last chance for Denali to come in view is tomorrow due to rain forecasted either side of partly sunny on Saturday. Unfortunately for the Texas group, they fly out a little after midnight tonight. :( I guess missing the Great One will have to be their excuse for coming back. ;) We're planning to take the ATVs and UTV out to Petersville Rd for some riding along the southern border of Denali State Park. All except one of the Iowa clan have either seen the Great One before, or they saw it on the jet boat tour last Friday.

    Grandson's birthday party this afternoon. It'll be nice to have all the family able to attend that. :)

    I lived there for 2 years and never saw the whole thing! Even flew up there one day and still didn't get to see it! :laugh: That was the day that the grizzly was on the Talkeetna runway too....still cracks me up. Big old fat griz sitting on the runway, eating berries and watching us fly over. FIL gets on the radio "attention all Talkeetna traffic: there is a bear on the runway. A bear on the runway"
    Sounds like you guys have had a pretty good visit so far. Always helps to have a "local" to show you around though.

    :cool: That's one of those "only in Alaska stories." :D

    I've actually enjoyed most of the visit. My SIL's husband is a really great guy and he's helped keep things on track and me keep my sanity. On the side he and I have been plotting his return with the nephews, and maybe niece if she's game, for a fishing and hunting focused visit next year or the one after. ;)

    Got 2 free tickets to NHL draft today.... 4hrs later I got a huge order in for expedited job I charged the guy almost 100% additional in hopes we would not land it because we are already so busy. I was wrong and he just sent it in.

    Gave my tickets away so I can come into work tomorrow.

    I need someone to beat the shit out of me so I can smarten up...

    Christmas bonus this year better be twice that of last years to make it worth this BS.
