Glad you are ok and that those kiddos weren't hurt too bad. That mom needs an ass whoopin for letting the kids ride like that.

Pretty impressed how well the Taco held up after it took a head-on shot like that. Like others have said, go get those wheels and other goodies off that truck.

19/20 times when a vehicle is totaled, the insurance company keeps it. They don't both pay you for it and give you the vehicle. The other 1/20 times, the user will buy it from insurance.

Either way, don't expect it to be a frenzy for a partout. Likely not gonna happen.

Unless you are like me. I went to the place they were keeping my vehicle when it got totalled. Said I left stuff in it....proceeded to spend a hour taking off the projectors, tails, exhaust, subs, head unit, amps, led lights etc I left it pretty bare.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
    Goodgodman!

Glad your injuries aren't too bad. Hope you find something good, if not similar, at the dealer.

That doesn't mean you kept the vehicle, you simply removed aftermarket parts. I've done that before as well.

Oh true I misread what you said. I was referring to the aftermarket parts.

Glad to hear everyone will be alright. I am really amazed at how well drivers and passengers are holding up in collisions inside a Tacoma. It really makes me feel very safe driving mine around.

That is beyond crazy. I started shaking just from seeing "Head On" in the OP title. That is one lucky lady (her kids) that should be thanking and getting on good terms with God from now on if either one of you were doing 45 and quadruply so if both were moving.

Yeesh! Glad to hear you were responsible enough to wear your belt, and that you're mostly ok. It's a shame those kids had to go through that because of their mom.

Dumb bitch. Sorry to hear about that man, glad you walked away from it. That woman probably had quite a few questions to answer to the police.
Good luck finding a new one! That sure was a sweet truck. Do they make 2014 bajas?

Thanks guys for all the good wishes.

They are going to let me take off all my bolt-ons and my Wet Okoles.
I will try to negotiate for the wheels. I'm going to look at the new TRD sports, since I don't want another Baja and research TW for a 3" or 4" lift.

    LightWerkz did the retrofit.

    OEM Lexus LS460-R bixenon projectors.
    Osram CBI Bulbs
    Potted OEM Denso ballasts

I loved it and I will do another LS460 retrofit, but this time with black.

Glad you're OK! Sorry it happened. I feel bad for the kids... they don't know any better and are the sad victims with the dumbest mother possible.

I hope you get it all sorted and done soon. GL with the new truck!
