It looks fairly normal for a scar. Feels less than 100% because of some weird numb tingling sensations and then I'll feel pain a few times a day. Nothing bad tho. Couple real small brown spots they said were necrotic and would scab off soon which was kind of cool to hear.

Got up to about 3900ft and hit a wall of snow. Pretty weird how there was practically none and then boom, foot and a half deep. Rained the whole time but still was fun. Went with my brothers and found some perfect camp spots for the summer.

That's a great road. Were the road closed signs at the entrance gone? I was in the area about 4 weeks ago and I think they were doing some logging/trimming.

I think the biggest crimps I have are for #6 wire. Check out Platt electric for more

They had a sign that said "road closed monday- noon friday". So yes they are logging, we got there at 11:52am and no one was there and we just drove right through their logging site. They are also logging on the first fs road on the left once you turn off the highway. Can't remember the number on that one

Oh nice. I didn't catch the hours. Thanks for the info. I spent all last summer and fall exploring that area. A lot of great views!

Later when the snow is gone, NF-6554 off of Jack's Pass is a great road.

Yeah I love going up there, few sketchy people though. And I haven't been on that road but I want to do a lot of camping up there this summer.

Went wheeling at Walker Valley yesterday. No broken parts, but I did put a dent in my bed when I got a little careless with the throttle trying to get up and over an obstacle. PhotoGrid_1404012115278_zpsglt6bmkn_4eeab2735d29bd347132c16f0bed8bc344896b81.jpg

That's why I got a gun & CPL. And go to the range about once a week. I usually don't see anyone. The further from Hwy 2 the better.

Exactly I carry a shotgun every time I go into the mountains no matter where it is. Since Im not old enough yet to have a concealed weapons permit or be in possession of a handgun by myself.

Looks like fun, and more than my truck can handle right now. Isn't Walker up in Mount Vernon?

It is... it's pretty gnarly up there for anything that you're worried about getting body damage on. Pretty much a trail rig only kind of place. Tons of spots that are off camber deep ruts that get the whole side of the truck up against a wall of rocks and tree roots. I didn't see any other daily driven trucks up there and the parking lot was full of tow rigs and trailers. Careful driving helps, but I still ended up with a pretty nice dent. It was fun, but I'm not a rush to go back lol

My boss wants me to go wheeling there with him (he has an enduro / dirt bike of some kind). I was tempted but after seeing your pics... I'm in no rush to get dents!

Damn, I heard Walker was more advanced, but didnt know it was that crazy. Too bad too since thats the closest trail to Seattle I believe (without exploring some East side mountain roads)

We've made that trip for the last two years. Great time. I'm up to do it again.
