Got rid of the Tacoma to get a Chevy, and you think you will have LESS issues? HAHAHAHAHAHA, Good luck with that.

You are correct. 38,600,000/48,100,000= 80.24948024948026% (Toyota recall rate)

    99,300,000/153,200,000= 64.81723237597912% (GM recall rate)

I should have been more specific instead of rounding off.

Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
I was thinking 80% is kinda high but i guess my truck has been "recalled" spiral cable and gas pedal. I never got an airbag light so never took it in. Gm should be 100% since paint/clearcoat is good for a year or two and they alway manage to have some wiring harness/cluster that blows half the lights or gauges but i guess it would cost too much to recall and fix what should have been done right the first time, and they make money on "repairs"

Enjoy the POS Chevy! you didn't have to create a thread to say I dumped my truck for a Chevy I mean what do you expect warm goodbyes and good wishes? I mean seriously dude this a Tacoma forum not a Chevy forum. Good luck with your Chevy I wouldn't buy one but hey its your money..... Hope you have a good mechanic to follow you around because you will need one.

My Tacoma is a hell-fighting mountain-crushing corner-killing land-speeding giant glistening vessel of unshaken reliability and opulent comfort.

I like the way you think

Nice! My wife has a Tahoe and is super-happy with it. (I am too and love driving it almost as much as my rig.) If I wasn't rollin in a Taco and was a full-size truck guy, it would be in a Silverado.

My Tacoma is at the apex of truck evolution. Everything before it evolved and improved to make it happen. Everything after it went downhill, your truck included :p

I'll admit I like the looks of them, but I wouldn't touch a GM product with a ten foot pole on principle.

Whether they deserved saving or not, that's not what tax dollars are meant for. If they went down (as they should have), another company would have eventually provided for the demand. No company's influence on the economy is permanent.

Many of my friends are GM worshipers...we give each other a lot of crap about vehicle decisions as you'd imagine. :D

Whether I agree with you or not depends on how old your truck is in comparison to mine!

have a 2014 prerunner, I think its one of the worst driving trucks I have owned. on the interstate you cannot keep this thing straight, windy days its sucks, both hands on the wheel just to keep in your lane, get around a semi its all over the road. truck is paid for, have to keep this thing for 5 more months [ I work for them ] going back to my f150. chevy is a nice driving truck, but i prefer ford waiting for the 2015

Yep. My father just bought a Silverado a few months back. Truck rides great, tows his travel trailer well. But he had been back to Chevy for 5 recalls in the past 6 months, he just hit 5500 miles. He likes the truck a lot, but the recalls are concerning him.

Recalls are not bad. If you pick and choose a vehicle over recalls you will go back to riding a horse. Do we not upgrade our software on our computers. If the manufacture of a vehicle doesn't do a recall I will be concerned for my life. Recalls show that they are taking care of their product and customer.
