I just changed the cabin air filter--and found a dam' mouse nest on top of the filter! I can't find any holes that get into the air duct that seem big enough to allow both the rodent and the ~1" cube of compressed alfalfa in.

    Any suggestions?

Time to either get a cat, or a supply of mouse traps!

Dilute some arsenic in some water and soak your in cabin air filter for a little while before you install it. I would would also pick up a gas mask for your self just to be safe

We had a mouse in our house and the hole he found was about the size of a nickle. They can squeeze through very small places.

Basically, any opening they can get their skulls through, they can enter. Once I went on a five day backpack in the Smokies park, leaving my car, a Buick, in the parking lot at Newfound Gap, high point of the trans-mountain road. It was hot and when I climbed in to start the car, when the air came on, I got a face full of mouse nest. Very unpleasant...
