So, turns out my squealing throwout bearing is not a covered repair (excessive use part). This job well outside of my knowledge base, so i am paying a pro. I would hate to pay for all that effort just to get back to a stock situation. Can anyone suggest some goodies i could buy and ask my mechanic to install along the way?
Fwiw, i know most stealerships and many indy shops don't like installing 3rd party parts that they don't know well... i get it, they don't want to be liable for a failure due to a part they didn't recommend.

My rig is a 2003 V6, 4X4, X-cab, Standard Trans. in case it isn't easily evident...i am still new to this site.

Marlin crawler has a very nice upgrade kit.

I'm running the ceramic trail gear kit and love it.

As Monte points out, the Marlin Crawler clutch kit is nice. I've been running it for about 20k miles now. Feels better than stock, seems to grip fine.

Thanks guys. The Marlin route, after a little further searching, seems to be the most favored. The supply issues they are having, luckily, won't be too much concern of mine because at the moment the squeal is more an irritant rather than critical failure. This being my daily driver with only moderate offroad abuse, i doubt i will even need the flywheel re-machined.

Don't do what I did and listen to a shop that doesn't know what they are doing. I got talked into replacing the flywheel. They put a POS non-OEM in there and I immediately had starter issues. Here's some details where I fixed the problem by replacing the POS non-OEM with TGP. There are some pictures showing the difference.

If they truly cannot machine the face, make sure you know what it is getting replaced by.

Just machine it while it's out. I did. Didn't totally need it but it's good for another 100+k

Well noted. That type of bait-and-switch is something else. Congrats on that super clean looking work site. I do hope one day in the future to be able to take on projects like this...but i know well my current limits.
