The Dakars cost more than the full OME with the aal.

    full kit:
    with dakars $1300ish

My stock springs are sitting on the side of the driveway. I was actually thinking of building a trailer with them.

I've seen them go for $50-100. The shipping kills it on them, especially the leaf springs.

Got it. I think your original post could have been read both ways, I thought you said, "I got the Dakar instead of AAL, which was $500 cheaper" meaning you chose Dakar and saved money. But you actually meant that you chose Dakars when you could have saved $500 with an AAL. My bad

    In my head swimming around
    Vehicle:
    12 DCSB
    RCD 4"
If $1200 is your budget the RCD is out my kit with wheels and tires was about $4000 doing the install myself and with the Icon co's and new rear springs I'm about to purchase but not needed for the RCD kit ad another $2000. Some would say for $6000 get a LT but for my needs its perfect and I had LT on my FJ and don't plan on wheeling the tacoma like the FJ was.
It boils down to the type of wheeling you do or may do occasionally but for a little more you could get a nice Icon or King setup that would suit your needs from your description so maybe save a little longer and it will pay off in the long run.

BTW if $1200 is your limit, maybe save up some more before you buy a kit and don't like it cause it was cheap or just not big enough. Dont make my mistake :)
