Sell my Bike (that I never use) and sell my quad (that I love) and get a dual sport.

I'd love the MPG gain, and not putting the miles on my truck.
School is going to be a 35 mile drive each way, but I'm only planning on taking 1 class (auto body)

 

Just sell some things and get a cheap/reliable motorcycle

 

Beard gene is not strong in this one, i've gone almost two months and all i had was a gotee about an inch long :/

 

Selling my quad and bike, and putting off buying a TV and sound system would allow me to buy a used KLR, and the KLR will allow me to do some trails, all I'd need is a "trail oriented" rear wheel/tire, possibly a front also.

 

You don't need to sell all that stuff dude. You can get a bike for $1500-3000 and i can come up with that in a summer. Payments are nothing if you have a decent little income.

You take the tires that are on it, throw them away...FAR AWAY. And buy a dot nobby for it. Or, buy a full dirt nobby and ride if everywhere anyway because you can.

Knobbies would wear out so fast on the pavement anyway.

There aren't any trails between here and there, as least not any public ones, I could ride the beach most of the way (if it were legal).

From my research most knobbies wear out around 3K miles, where as the more street oriented tires can last 10K

 

The Michelin knobby tires are supposed to do great on the highway. That's what I'll be getting once the stocks run out.
