Finally got everything lined out And done my lift today! Everything went as smooth as can be. I did 5100's all around, OME 885 coils, a 1" block in the rear with my TSB springs and air bags. I know... I know... Blocks are bad mmkay. That is according to TW any way. But I've been around lifted trucks for years and a 1" block won't hurt a thing. Every Tacoma I have rode in with an add a leaf rode like a wagon, some people don't have that issue though. I just liked the way mine rode and I wanted exactly 1"of lift in the rear so that's what i done. I will say this i wanted a good quality block and after some research and looking around I found what I wanted. Some newer model Chevy trucks come from GM with 1" blocks that are the best quality and best designed block I've seen. I was lucky enough to find a set for free at a friends local shop that does lifts and truck accessories. But any way it was 2.5" higher in the rear stock, the OME springs gave me exactly 2.5" in the front and it's now 1" high on the rear with the block. Sets perfect to me and with the air bags I won't have any issues hauling and towing. Any way, I've got one problem. It now has acquired the 30 to 40 mph growl/vibration in the front. Just wandering if any of you guys had any experience with this and any fresh ideas on the best way to correct it? Please let me know what you think. It's not that bad but my OCD wont be able to over come it. If I need a diff drop or whatever that's not a problem, or if it won't harm anything I can try to just turn the radio up! Here's some pics. Thanks guys!

Looks great! The vibe is a pretty common issue after lift. Did you install the carrier bearing drop?

I recommend that you take a look at the 1st video available on the link I posted above. After if you feel like it, you may crawl underneath your truck and check for how much play you may have at your CV axles. Start by your passenger side and then compare with your driver side.

I had the growling noise going and going, and since I made this fix, it's gone. The only other thing I have done to my driveline is the carrier bearing drop, but since you only have a 1in lift at the rear, you might not need it.

No sir they fit a Taco perfectly no hub centric rings required. Method wheels are great quality.

If an alignment doesn't fix your vibes, give the carrier bearing drop a shot. I raised mine 3" front and rear, installed the drop, got an alignment and so far have had no vibes.

Thank you very much. No spacer mine is only about an 1/8" lower on drivers side. Didn't really bother me.

I took it straight to the alignment shop. No dice... Still there. They got everything in to spec and it drives like a dream. It also rides great and handles large bumps and pot holes much better. I want to give it a try off road. It just rolled 30k and has never been abused. I didn't have any issues before hand. I'm going to give the things you guys suggested a try. Thank you all very much!

I did the same thing with a lift it makes it 10000x easier to put a lift in when the truck is in the air :D

    Looks great.

Maybe check if the wheels are balanced correctly?
