What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Look good to me. But if you notice a difference then maybe try a deep detail of the stock paint. Maybe it'll lighten/ shine it up a bit to match better with the new fenders

Yeah, anyone will tell you this color is impossible to match. If it really bugs you, you need to have someone blend it.

Yeah I was driving on the highway running 70mph. Started to feel a shake. Looked at my wife and asked "is that the road or my truck?" And before she could answer the tire blew out. The tires aren't 9 months old so I'll be calling treadwright Monday to see what they'll do.

The slight color difference doesn't bother me at all compared to how much just plain white bugged me. It's an off road toy not a show truck.i am more than happy with it...

 

Took the truck out to the off-road park today. 3 hours highway driving each way plus 4 hours in the park. OME suspension worked great, much better than the OEM setup. As a bonus, gas mileage for the entire day averaged 21.4mpg.

 

Did you go to the place in Gilbert? I'm going there sometime after the 4th.

 

Disappointing as I know so many people who had good experiences with them so far including myself. Could always be a fluke though.

 

I swapped out a "flat" dakar leaf pack for another free Dakar leaf pack.... still flat what should I do ? I have the AAL btw. Should i combing the two packs?

Yeah we are very fortunate. I hate to think what it would have been like if the front tire did this.

 

I'm pretty disappointed too. I've been loving these tires up until this. We will see if their customer service is what everyone says.

 

Anyone have any tips/tricks on getting the grease out of the wheel side of a cv axle??

 

out of the birfield? Soak it in a solvent tank for a good bit.

When I did my CV boots, I didn't worry about getting all the grease out. Unless you have a strong hunch the grease is contaminated, it might not be worth the effort.
