Afternoon all:wave:...up and out by 9:00 this a.m. loaded up the bikes and off for a ride. Headed up to Lambertville NJ and rode along the canal...nice flat ride for the first time out this year:D...needed a damn camera with a telephoto lens, a bald eagle and mate in a nest up on top of a power line tower...cell phone camera just couldn't get them. I'll see if I can get back up during the week and get a good picture:D...Enjoy the weekend all.

I got the bed step mounted yesterday morning, took 20 minutes. Me likey. Then we did a bike ride down in the valley. I'm still ...ahem... "getting back into shape", and my wife is recovering from knee surgery, so we're taking it pretty easy. Having a truck made the whole deal ssssoooooo much simpler - toss the bikes in the back and go. (I think I feel one of those "how did I go so long without having one of these things" moments coming on.)

Later we butterflied a chicken, made up a dry rub and basting sauce, grilled and basted the bird, then laid on some barbeque sauce at the end of the cooking time. First time we've done something so elaborate on the grill, but definitely not the last. [IMG]

good morning every one. sounds like all had a nice Saturday, down day here. 3 years since my brother past, and I get served as executor of his estate with a lawsuit from some low life from south of the boarder whose car was backed into by a old neighbor of bros who borrowed his car . I sure know there was no damage to his car other then a paint scrape on the chrome bumper of his for runner. until yesterday we knew nothing about a law suite or any one being supposedly hurt ,police report I ran and got reads no one hurt. another frivolous lawsuit .

see news about that storm from down south building up 120 miles off sue. hope it fads out to nothing

will try and unwind from this sue me state of nj BS. got a charity gig we are playing at start at 1200 and will play till 1900. pulled out my 1959 Stratocaster and 1964 Gibson to play restrung them both last night ,nothing music to clam one down

    Morning Gents:wave:

BRISKET, did you say BRISKET...any left over:hungry::hungry: lets see if I leave now I can be there...Hard to find good brisket. best I've had was at a place called Toppers on the island of St. Maarten:D... hope you enjoyed it:thumbsup:

Hey wdb, I got a "Hollywood Hitch 2 bike rack" last year and it works great:thumbsup:...slide it into the hitch receiver, load the bikes, lock them in place with the locking devices and your ready to go. beats throwing them in the bed:)...
Went to friends for dinner and had a cheese steak Stromboli with sauce and fried onions, wife made a peach crumb pie and a scoop of French vanilla ice cream and I was set:drool::hungry:...picking up some ribs to do next weekend...

Being the executor isn't a picnic...the missus was the executor for her mom who passed away 5 years ago and we still are doing things for the estate:eek:...would she do it again....no way[IMG]...good luck with the lawsuit...the weather these past couple of years has gotten really strange:confused:... :thumbsup:hope everyone down south is going to be okay. Enjoy playing at the benefit today...music always relaxes me...enjoy listening even while working:D...

    Morning all:

Here's something to look into Capt. When you put a notice in the paper, and/ or the law journal about someone passing, there is a timeframe for people to be able to collect from the estate.
I don't know if it applies to lawsuits, and I don't remember what it is called. I think it gave a 2 yr. timeframe.
It is not the obituary; I think it gets put under legal notices in the paper. I know I did it when my mother passed.
    Always something!!

Darn; you guys are making me hungry!:hungry: AGAIN!!!!

add me to the 60+ group and, yes, if it is considered a " young man's truck ", I have one and am proud of it. Tacoma's are great vehicles even if you do not use them to haul stuff in the bed, other than your dog.

Yep, tossing them in the bed is definitely a temporary thing. Thanks for the information about the hitch mount rack. I ordered a Pipeline Rack because I liked the simplicity and ease of use. It is supposed to arrive July 1. I went with the more generic tie down model rather than their Rail Rack because I wanted to be able to get it in and out of the bed quickly.
 here too. We found out that the pre-packaged, pre-cooked, pre-sauced ribs at the food store were super delicious and way easier to prepare than doing them from scratch. You might want to try them if you're feeling lazy.
Yes good luck. My wife was executor for her mom's estate. It was a piece of cake - she didn't have any assets! Plus my wife's brothers are completely cool, not the sort of folks to make a big fuss over assets even if she had had any. I think we were fortunate because I have heard lots of horror stories.

Sounds like a good day - lots of fresh air and good food. Can't get better than that.

Gotta love ambulance chasers and their clients

I heard about the storm last night.... will have to wait and see where it heads. We could use the rain.

Have a good time playing your guitar

Brisket :hungry:  you guys and all your food talk :annoyed:

5 years?? Isn't there a time limit on that stuff? What happens when the $$ is gone?

I always wondered why they put those things in the paper :anonymous:

    x2 on :hungry:

 welcome now :smack: dogs go INSIDE the truck, NOT in the bed  :angrygirl:

Morning Carl:wave:...Problem we are having with the estate is minors in will and property's they owned upstate...one property won't perk so it's not buildable and no public water or sewer in the far future...also another lot that's been on the market for 5 years and no bids:eek:...still paying taxes for the next 5 years or until the $5000 in escrow runs out then we lose the property:mad:...had to hire an attorney who charged a small fortune to handle the estate:eek:...never again

Hey Echo84 welcome to the thread:wave:...great bunch on here and I see you met our lady friend Sue...great person(and loves puppies) and a southerner as well as you:D...enjoy the posts.

:wave:Morning Sue, take it easy on the new guy:D:rofl:...How have you been doing??? After the money is gone the property goes to the development or the state or whoever gets dibs first:eek:...

Morning Ken... I did take it easy on the new guy  could have brought the :quickdraw: ;)

Hope you can sell the property's and not give it to the state/bank. Guess I had it easy... neither the folks or sister had any property and no $$, so just paid what I could on their bills....

Welcome to the over 60 thread. Pull up a chair and the cold drinks are in the cooler t your left. If you prefer coffee I will be making a carafe in about an hour.
I tell you these Tacoma's are real work horses of a truck. My Tacoma is always doing something to help me with projects.

Good morning Ken and Sue. Well it is back to work for me. Break is over now.

I'll be cleaning up stuff for the next week+ ;)

Invasion ends tomorrow morning when they fly out. We'll end up around the fire-pit at Mitch's (youngest son) tonight cooking caribou dogs and s'mores. :)
