Just curious, how does that impact you fitting the rubber cup holder insert in there....I was thinking about doing a CB mic mount this way.

The strap does not interfere with the rubber cupholder in any appreciable way.

    Thanks for fixing my pic.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
It's in front of the radio so it isn't near an airbag.

Tetrax is another magnetic type. Been using my for over a year. Mounted it on the passenger airbag light indicator on my first gen and it holds my Note 2 just fine. Only time it ever falls off is if its not seated properly. No issues with my phone.

Does anyone with a magnet type holder put their phone in their pocket a lot? I'd like to get one but I don't know if it that little magnet would hold up when my phone goes from my side pocket of the carhartts to my ear about 20 times a day.

Goes in my front pocket every time or the pocket of my cargo pants. No issues.

Panavise mount with a proclip phone holder would work well.

The iMagnet mount is $25 on Amazon and the magnet is in the mount. You get a few surprisingly thin metal wafers to put between your phone and phone case so it's invisible on the phone side. Works great and the suction/tacky mount is low profile and had held it's grip on my dash over a year with no residue. My wife has one of the spare wafers in her case so she can pop her phone in when driving as well

I went with the cupholder type, I figured I could spare one of them when there's 13 to choose from. Will have to look thru the thread later for other options though - I'm thinking there's lots of empty space on the A-pillars just begging to be used...

I've got the exact same setup... only issue so far is that when the AC has been on for a while and I take my phone outside, the screen fogs up! haha

It might work great but I've just never liked phone mounts that block the A/C vent.

Since I always carry mine in my front pocket I didn't want a thick case so I went with the magnetic type. Here is the Amazon link

I removed the disc mount and epoxied it to the passenger side trim piece under the vent next to the stereo. I ran my iPhone cable through the trim piece and now I don't have cables hanging all over the place.

    ^^ I like that mount ^^

Had I not bought the one that I bought I would have given that one some consideration.

    More than I can afford
I got a Panavise bracket as a birthday gift.
Just ordered one of the magnetic phone holders and a small RAM ball.
Gonna do some "custom" engineering and make a mag mount that attaches to the panavise.
Should be tinkering with it this weekend. Went the magnet route for ease of in/out and I currently have an Iphone 4s. Plan on getting a 5s pretty soon so I didn't want something phone specific that would be useless when I replaced my phone.

I think you'll like it. I've had no issues with mine and I bought it at the first of the year.
