whats the date code on that one tire? I also run these tires so this kind of thing is always in the back of my mind lol. Looking at the tire, it almost looks like a full tire fail rather then the retread part. still interesting to see

A flat leaf will provide more flex than an arched leaf. Bigger trucks have arched leafs for load capacity, so I think a lot of people expect arch. An optimum off road leaf pack would be long and flat, but it would wrap easily and be less than impressive on road. Some packs do work very well negatively arched. It's not a bad thing. If the pack isn't designed to go negative, you want to make sure you add bump stops to prevent it, otherwise give your money to charity instead of throwing it away.

Tried my best to drive it like a trophy truck last night on the way back from a camping trip haha. Kept trying to figure out why a plastic grocery bag was making so much noise on my passenger floorboard when I turned left. Turned out the bag wasn't making noise, but the water gushing out from behind the glove box was...Any ideas? I've read the AC drain could be clogged so I'll check that first.

Lol. Happened to me before too. Sounds like a clog. If you put your elbows down on the passenger floor and look behind the glove box, gently pull the carpet back, youll see a rubber grommet. I gently pried on that to take the drip tube out. Rinsed it under the sink and a bunch of gunk came out. No water inside since.

Look at your engine side if the firewall where the drain plug goes through. Poke a coat hanger into the drain and unclog it.

I had about two cups of water drain out when mine was clogged.

Yeah I'll have to do that. I pulled over when I noticed it and checked the drain out. It was damp but not dripping so I'm assuming it's clogged. Couldn't really inspect as I had a hot engine to bend my hand around.

Gave my truck some much needed love today. Was cleaning it up and tried to remove some of the Colorado Pin Stripes with some rubbing compound, then moved on to a clay bar and wax. Far from perfect but much better:

Over the last few days I got my bumper painted. I sprayed some farm implement paint with hardener added and it came out very nice. I wouldn't hesitate to paint a whole truck in implement paint if I was going cheap. It sprays easily and looks great. I put in the winch too. It fits with literally no clearance. Perfect! It wasn't as bad as I expected to install the bumper by myself with the winch in there. I don't know a total weight but I would guess 140 lbs.

I also installed my 31M. Man this thing is a beast compared to the stock size. I had to jerry rig the mount, so I will be designing my own when I get back from vacation. It works for now though.

tube doors look baller jace! youll love em! nice idea filling in that gap in the fender. I love having mud shoot right in the truck, sadly even if I filled in that gap there would be no stopping the mud from the rest of the tire

One of my dad's coworkers went to school as a suspension specialist in the racing community so I picked his brain about it. He was asking me why I thought my leaf pack was junk because it had no arch, but he said that's good unless you are loading the bed and need the arch as support to prevent you from going negative. There's a good article on fourwheeler.com on leaf springs too.
