Hey all, wanted to get some feedback on this, going to be lifting my truck within the next year and been doing quite a bit of research. Thinking I am going to get the 3 inch toytec ultimate lift(http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Toytec-Ultimate-Lift-Kit-05-Tacoma_p_1062.html) with the drop diff kit, UCAs, billstein 5160, toytec progressive AAL.

Ontop of that in the front I want to add 2.5 spacer for the front.(http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/TAC25-Component_p_306.html)

In the rear I was thinking of doing the air bags.(http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Tacoma-05-Rear-Air-Bags_p_302.html)

I am going to run the treadwright backbone 2 in 305/70r16(https://www.treadwright.com/individual-product/117/BACKBONE 2-305-70R16.00-D) I am aware I will need to cut and weld to run these.

Can I get some feedback, I haven't heard of anyone lifting and spacing, was wondering how it will ride.

Also if someone knows where I can find a 5 inch complete kit within the same price range thats decent quality let me know. And I kind of thought of this on the fly, so if it is a very dumb idea TELL ME, not only for my sake but for others who read this in the future.

    Thanks for the help!

General concensus is that stacking lifts is bad.

Dont stack lifts. If you are a prerunner and you want that much height get spindles. If you a 4x4 then get a mall crawler drop bracket lift.

What is the end result if you stack the lifts?

Thanks for the reply, LOVE your build. Not going to do the mall crawler way, you had the toytec kit with billies, how did they ride? After some more research I may just save and get the Icon Kit.

5 inches of stacked lift on a 4x4 would blow your cvs in less than a month of not right away. On a prerunner there would be some harsh angles and something would brake plus that would ride like sh't.

The toytec kit is a great kit. It rides great works well offroad and probably would meet if not exceed most peoples needs. I've just taken my truck to another level. The coils were not able to lift my bumper to 3 inches. The icons are amazing. They are easily adjustable. They reach so far and ride so nice. But they will require new uca's. Do some research but you will be happy with the toytec but if you plan wheeling a lot or adding weight go icons.

So you dont need new UCAs with the toytec kit? If I were to run 285/70/16, with 4 inch back space I can get away without new UCAs?

To run 285s you should get new uca's. You can play with rim back space but it would still be close. Plus at 3 inches there is a 50% chance you would need them for an allignmnet anyway.

So to do it right just get the ultimate kit with the UCAs?

Yep. With some rims and 285s you will be set. Good luck. Make a build thread and post pics when your done.
