The truck doesn't like to stay aligned at all.

You should buy all the stuff you need to do it at home. May be cheaper in the long run. Unless you have that Firestone lifetime alignment.

I pay $200 for a five year alignment at NTB. You can see by the alignment sheet they get it perfect so I don't see any need for me to buy the equipment to do it myself.

x2! paid about $200 at firestone 4 years ago for the lifetime, and i'm averaging about 5 alignments per year. no way you're going to touch that with a do it at home setup.

    Morning all,

Maybe I need to give Firestone another chance next time I need an alignment... I quit them cause it seemed like it was hit or miss with them on a decent job.

that's the beauty of a lifetime....

if they drop it down off the rack and you don't like the numbers they hit, you tell them to do it again. doesn't cost you a dime. if you have to resort to that once or twice, they'll learn quick that it's to their advantage to do it properly the first time.

I've had to hunt around for an NTB that would do the job right the first time. I finally found one so I go back there every time. It's going to be the same with Firestone, just keep trying different shops.

    This works as well.

I've paid for both of those places to get a 3 or 4 year alignment. Not one time have I been (after about 15 alignments) do I get a print out of the final specs. Both of them have the same excuse, "our printer is broke." Kinda redonk and it's more than 1 store doing it as well.

Yes, I've had that happen before. It usually means that they didn't actual align your truck. I don't leave the store if I don't get the printout.
