I think I remember reading somewhere on here about someone breaking their main leaf on an all-pro 50T pack. I just broke one of mine at the wrap in the front. Do you guys know who can make a new one? thanks

The thing with paint, powder and plastic dip is that it retains and traps heat?
If this is the only option and what you end up doing, I would recommend using a good oil like Maxima's synthetic. It is made to reduce temps, and will help to combat the trapping of the heat.

Deaver spring will make a new main for them too even though they aren't deavers. You will have to take the whole pack to them though.

I don't know if it would effect the internal oil temp enough to matter or not. Besides, Ivan Stewarts old stadium truck had painted shocks, so it must be ok. Ha!

Shocks and technology have come a long way since then.. Plus im sure with that set up, he didn't run the same shock twice. I would think they put new ones on when they prep'd it.:D

I called engage and they said that the springs were back ordered. There's a local place by me that said they can make a new one for me too so I'm just going to do that and have both sets rebuilt while I'm at it.

The wiring is not present AFAIK, but it will work if you have all of that. The other missing components are the gauge cluster (has the 4wd indicator light), the 4wd switch, the front diff ADD, and obviously T-case. Interestingly, the 6 speed manual T-case has a speed sensor in it not present in auto's or prerunners and I don't know how that would factor in. I have deleted all of that myself, and converted to manual shift T-case. I also just leave the ADD in the "locked" position.

I see what you mean, lol. Not the ECU that controls the 4wd system, but the ECU that controls the engine. I don't see why it wouldn't work other than the immobilizer. I think you have to get the dealership to burn your vin into the new ECU, but that is just something I read on the interwebz. Try it and see what happens man.
