LR UCA install issue

Kinda pisses me off but I enjoy working on my truck and good to know ill have the right parts and will be able to install in my sleep after all this shit.

 

FYI for anyone who might need it later they said to leave the small washers in till the new kit arrives.

SPC hooking you up or charging you for what you need?

 

Def saved my ass going to install w out the small washers on driver side today then take it all back apart in a week and install the new stuff they send me. They are hooking me up

I am pretty sure after the convo with spc they aren't wear washers as they said with the new UCA's they don't use washers on the inside anymore and have longer sleeve bushing that they are sending me. The only washers they use now are the large ones on the outside. Thanks all for the help off to the house to assemble the driver side and get an alignment. Then redo all of it again in a week lol

 

I think I'd let it ride for just a week instead of paying twice for an alignment. I let my suspension settle for two weeks before I aligned mine so nothing would change with the settling.

 

New LR UCA's and old LR UCA's use different washer configurations

I know he works about an hour from p'cola on base somewhere around here. I forget which one he said, but probably yes to answer your question.

 

To help anyone doing this. The passenger side went back together easier with the bolt going in the opposite direction we took it out. The driver side has some hoses or tubes of some sort in the way if you try and put the UCA bolt in from the other side, so I would recommend the driver side going in the same way you took it out and have someone shove it in from the top while someone holds the UCA from the bottom to align the holes

 

I just put both of mine back in the same way they came out. I'd check and see if you can find a place that is a dealer for SPC equipment so they know what they are doing with the UCA's. The place I took mine to is a dealer and really likes using them for alignments.

 

Hmmmm I wonder if P-cola has anywhere around here that is a dealer for SPC products and does alignments?? Guess Ill have to call some places this afternoon. All I lack now is drilling holes for my RR mounts and putting a hub cap in a missed/ Alfuh left off lol. Rides awesome minus the shacking from not being aligned and balanced!!

 

That's not a bad price at all considering its usually 60-70 per alignment
