Does not have to be the case! My boat is about as trouble free as it gets. Does not cost me much more than gas and oil every year. It's a fish killing machine.

Same here. 64 Sears aluminum semi v with an early 80s evinrude 15hp. No fuss, replace the water pump every once in a while and make sure to use 93 octane with startron mixed in, use fogging oil before putting away. About as maintenance free as it gets.

    They're constipated.

Yeah, basic aluminum boats with a simple low-horsepower outboard are fairly cheap to own and operate. So are canoes and kayaks and rowboats.
Big fiberglass powerboats with 100+ HP engines that'll do 70MPH, on the other hand...not so much

Is there any laws about mudflaps. I just took mine off to shorten them but I kinda like it without. Wondering if there are laws about mudflaps in Mass.
    Anyone know?
    Thanks.

    What does this mean?
    hahaha

    Massachusetts Mud Flap Law

You will be fine unless you put wheels on it with a crazy offset that make your tires go out past your fenders. I don't run any flaps and they never even looked at it at all during inspection. Tint, well that's a whole different story. :(

You need mud flaps by law. I chopped mine so they are wicked short because I kept ripping them off.

IF you have wide tires you need wider fender flares to prevent debris from being thrown around. (there is a 4x4 exemption for this) CH90.19
