How many questions you gonna ask!? There's not an event that weekend but it is a holiday week. The campsite we got is a big open area and only 5 sites in it so there can't be anymore people in the area.







As for the park, it's 75000 acres and almost 400 miles of trails. It would take a lot of folks to crowd that. Haha even then, I think it's more fun when there's more people. Gives you something to watch and interact with other folks and shit.

And as for fireworks ....... I'm bringin my tub of them. We will figure somethin out. I've never missed shooting fireworks on the 4th

 

May be possible to take a short 15 min drive to the water front at Edgemoor and shoot some fireworks. And then there's always find zachs house and go there

So if we have 5 spots, we can get 10 tents max in the place, right?

Alright then I'm bringing some to. I never miss shooting fireworks either, I set them off in the middle of town on the 3rd a few years ago because I had to work the 4th on night shift and even then we set some off at work

 

I plan to sleep in the back/bed of the truck. My mom had this...cot mattress/pad that I will be sleeping on and then I'm simply going to install a tarp over the bed. I will get a big enough tarp that I can lay it over the roof of the cab, strap it down then cover the bed and strap it down. Wala, truck tent! Tarps are less than $10...I have no tent, I need to be cheap and the guy's tent I borrowed for Harlan kinda went nutty so I'm staying away from that situation.

I need to think of something to use semi-tailgateish, like a piece of plywood, so no bears come and snatch me up as easy pickin's with my feet hanging out the back.

 

Heads up on the tarp, it will be hotter than shit I'll see if I can snag my brothers hammock

 

Man I just bought a new tent like an hour ago. I'll dig out my old one if you want to use it. I'll look for it tomorrow after work and let you know asap

I did look at a fan, it was cool and inexpensive, then I saw it took 8 D batteries.

I would leave the tail gate off to get air flow

 

I saw a couple tents at Walmart earlier for $20-$40 but I'm going to dig out my old one tomorrow after work and I'll set it up to make sure it's all there. I hope it's where I think it is.
