The “My Back Hurts” Thread

Ok Ok, no tint on windshield. Got it. I didn't think 35% would be too bad but I'll stray away. Besides I dont trust myself to tint it well enough... that's a lot of glass. However I have seen it on a few cars in the parking lot at the highschool.

I believe its 22% front in WA. I already have 20% on the front but you can still see inside. It looks about the same darkness as the rear.

That's funny cuz I have a buddy who has 5% on his fronts and 5% on 5% on the back. You can't see out the rear view mirror during the day. To me that's just retarded. You already can't see in with just 5%, what else are you trying to accomplish ya know?

Yeah I know... just in a bad habit I suppose. Ok so if I do murder out the rear what should I do? I'm guessing factory tint is around 20%, so if my math is correct 35% over 20% would be 7%. Sound good?

Also I want a vote. Brow: Yay or Nay?

 

I say yes to the strip and leave the back as is

I have 35 fronts w/ a 5% strip

 

I'll be getting 35% sometime, not sure if I want to do the rear windows because with the shell it's already dark enough, but the shell isn't always on.

 

Think I have like 25% on the front, no strip anymore(a pole came through the original) the back is stock with 25% over it. Illegal but it's what's always been on there and I think it's perfect.

 

Just don't go too dark. I'm not sure what's on my dads tundra (I know, not really helpful lol) but I do know it's illegally dark and it's also a PITA to see through them at night.

 

Lulz...Grandfather clause does not apply to tint...

i have 20 on my front and stock in the back. perfect match. i would love to go darker but the tint law in va is already 50 in the front 35 in back. so im not going to push my luck. although my girlfriend worked at an eye doctor and use to get people a "light sensitive eyes" slip to have them as dark as you want

 

It's what my parents put on it, but I need to replace it lol

most of the time on newer vehicles if you do 20 you will be either matched or a little darker in the front

 

25% on my front windows matched my OEM rear window tint.

 

I bet mine is closer to 25. The back windows of my double cab look lighter than the windows on my access cab

 

Do you have to roll your windows down at night to be able to see your mirrors to back up?

 

I'm gonna do 5% all around with 25% on the windshield

 

I'm just gonna do 35% over the back and rear side windows. Probably leaving the fronts at 20% right now... They're pretty crappy looking though so I may change it to 15% in the future. No windshield tint, just a 4% brow. Thanks everybody

Is it the higher the percent the lighter the tint or the other way around? For some reason I thought I read that the higher percent the lighter and that didn't make sense
