Short Bed v. Long Bed

do you have airbags or dakars in the rear of that thing!??!

I have a DCSB but if I could do it all over again I would have gone with an access cab. Then I would have had a bigger bed without a bigger profile.

 

Another plus fr the DCLB is that the increase wheel base is slightly better for towing.

 

Have to have DCSB to fit in my garage. Have about 4" from the light bar to the garage door.

Best system I've come up with. Rack comes off in 2 mins or I have a 2 tier storage system.

Another option I am considering.....

 

My long bed is tight in the garage. I have to take the ball mount out of the receiver hitch kinda tight.

 

If you get creative, a short bed can do anything.

 

A friend of mine has the short bed. I have the LB. He too drove my truck and said next time he is getting the LB. He couldn't believe how much nicer it rode on the road. Also we both hunt and carry an ice sled in the back to put our deer in it. I still have room for more and he doesn't.

on a short bed, you can always put the tailgate down and use a bed extender to get the extra length if needed.

Can do it with an LB too..
For me, the LB was a no brainer... Never had an issue on what I do off road, and the extra cargo room is always appreciated...
