12 Years Later

A buddy and me did some camping and canoeing the past weekend and i thought this was a pretty good shot to show where Tacomas came from to where they are now. His is a 97 and mine is an 09. These are by far my two favorite faces for a Taco

their BFG A/T's...idk if their wide enough though

No those are BF 325/65/R15 on 12" wheels. I used to run the same set-up on my 97 and 01. Good tire and wheel combo for running around creeks and mud but not so good on trails due to tight cornering.

 

12'' isnt too wide...thats what my friends f150 has

 

lol i dont think his wheels are street legal

 

yea that's not too wide, i only had about 2" of lift on mine so i had some rubbing issues at full turn or the tire would dig into the bed when i got a little off camber, not a big deal since i wasn't out rock crawling.

 

I hope you don't take it the wrong way when I say I think the one on the right is nicer.

 

i agree with you on that. I used to have a 97 white extended cab with a topper , same wheels and all. My wife totaled it for me last year so now i'm starting over. I miss my 97

 

i also like the bodies on the older taco's as well but its impossible to find one with low mileage. And if you do their going for ridiculous prices

 

With wheels that wide, I'm surprised he even brought along the canoe...
