Woot! Just got tracking info from URD.

Only one more order/delivery away from being capable of me engine swap after almost 2 years.

I'm sure my local PD will be happy to see me driving around on a current inspection sticker soon. My 2012 sticker from 08 doesn't even look close to the new design. They tend to look away after they see it when I drive by

a common problem with epoxy fortified products is that the epoxy gets activated/harden by air and or oxigen so when applied too thick its not as effective; unlike 2 part epoxy products where 1 part its the pigment and binder and the other part is the activator/hardener

 

Eh regardless, powdercoat isn't JayProof... I'm a fan of my rustoleum sliders, just keep spraying them and they always look new

I'm curious how the spray on bed liner would do, basic paint comes off easier than I'd like despite having like 35 coats

 

if the texture isnt too rough it may make it easy to touch up!

 

I have spray on rust oleum bed liner on some mounting brackets I made, their holding up great, tried scratching them with a key and the paint is strong. I give the credit to the everclear I used for prep (didn't have rubbing alcohol)

 

i used rattle cans of Rustoleum texture black on the sliders and bed rack after treating them with POR… looks really good but i just did it recently so cant commet further on durability yet

 

They make rainbow spray paint?

 

Should be pretty good, I'm bummed I hit mine with the spray can first.

i was refering to the fack that the product he posted has a texture and he's looking for easy touch up down the line!…

the rustoleum texture sold in depot isnt a very rough texture and its quite easy to touch up!

if my shit starts rusting out Ill be driving the bumper into his shop on the front of my truck I better not have any issues - unlike Jerry my guy has been doing this longer than Ive been alive, his shops been open for 4-1/2 years at it's current location with great references, and he does everything himself.

 

And this is no exaggeration, EVERY weld

My neighbor told me Aliphatic Acrylic Urethane gloss was the best for steel. He gave me some and it held up good on my skids. Even had a catalyst. Ive yet to have to fully sand them down since new. I just sand and prime/paint the scratches. Should dip my whole truck in it

I don't like the sand filled stuff. I just used rubber undercoat/bedliner on the entire bottom of my truck. Time will tell if it does it's job.

I hated that stuff. Way to textured for my liking. Had it on my Avid bar many moons ago. My toolbox has it on but I top coated it so it wasn't so rough that dirt stuck.

Ill ask my guy tomorrow. I have a conference call at 9am to discuss giving him a ton of work.

My boss is worried about subbing it out to him, but my PA supplier in Reamstown just fucked up and delayed shipment of a ton of product for three weeks I needed two weeks ago. I need the finish to match and my boss is worried about two shops being able to do so. As long as they use the same RAL #'s it should be close enough IMO and I don't want to deal with my PA supplier anymore. Guys a freaking moron.

yea... never gets any sun due to all the trees in my yard. stain and wood is about 6 years old. maybe next year

 

Busy day at work today I missed ALOT...
