Just confirmed via e-mail with Adam from Trailridge Runners 4WD Club, CF/MSV opened this last Saturday, no snow and very little water.

I'll be running this trail this Wednesday afternoon, should be at the trailhead around 1pm if anyone is interested.

Yep. I've seen your truck in the neighborhood.

Don't worry, I won't tell the rest of these clowns where we live.

Of course they did... I was trying to camp there last weekend and the ranger told me it would be at least 1-2 more weeks before they open it. Ended up going down to Jefferson Lake to camp which was pretty nice but MSV would of been fun.

Have fun tomorrow. I will be wishing I was up with you guys.

Haha, of course, that's how it always works. You know in talking with Trailridge Runners that day they are the ones that go in and make the call whether to open it or not, the ranger district doesn't really have anything to do with it. I talked to a lady at the Boulder Ranger office and got some ridiculous response that wasn't even truth. Wish you could run it with me tomorrow, that was cool last year when we bumped into each other there.

That was funny. I will have to get your number again. I got a new phone and your number did not transfer over.

Maybe if you are willing to do a later run like you were originally planning I can meet up but I have to interview a few people in the morning and can not miss work... Edit: just kidding. I would not be able to make it tomorrow. I have plans with the woman and if I bail I would probably get shot haha

I am in the same boat. The wiff wants me to go to the zoo with her and her friend. The friend talked her husband into going so now if I don't go I'm an asshole that makes her look bad. Sorry Chile! Next time.

I think so, we are planning to camp near the Hancock town site though, at the coordinates listed above.
