Nothing a dremel couldn't handle. No rolling required. The ribbon is fully shielded from door abrasion and everything is completely waterproof.

Yea use a forklift or a two post car lift.

Wouldn't be so bad if you found a truck that was a good running v6 or just identical to yours. Then you wouldn't have to swap a lot over.

It's perfect for me since I rest my arm on the window sill all the time. It was like second nature to hit a button, like it is when you're opening a window or door locks. You just feel it there, don't really have to look or reach.

Auto-Rod Controls or ARC makes a very similar looking panel, I've installed a few they are alright. Just search for flat touch switch panels they will come up. They are not a cheap way to do switches tho.

Ya, sure. For only $25k...

    http://santafe.craigslist.org/cto/4544912469.html

That's only $2k less than what I paid for my truck in 2003.

And the paint matches too! ;)

haha yeah I was just messing around, im in the process of a 4x4 swap! haha i think it would be easier to switch your truck back to stock, sell it, buy another 4x4 dcab and just switch in a manual! that way you dont have a perfectly fine ext. cab to get rid of :D

That was the first thing I thought of actually is that my hand is always there drumming with my thumb to the music.

Style wise is what I meant by the delorean picture, also reminds me of the warning panels in 1980's bmw's probably because I've owned a few of those. Or the old school 1950's push button transmissions.

Not saying that it's a bad thing, it's just what I see, I'm an artist I see in pictures

I was trying to compare it to a bunch of flashing gauges but just wasn't seeing it. Lost me there. It's all good though, I like the streamlined look of it. I'm going to call them and see if I can cut it smaller on the top and bottom. When I was installing it, it looked like only the middle X amount was used for the circuit board.

Found this a bout a week ago:

So I ordered two sets of boots from SDHQ and picked up some redline cv grease

    Old boots vs. new ones:

Finished up the install last night.

Washed my truck today and took some pics of my new rear bumper (older style all pro). I put a hitch behind the license plate and added some shackle mounts to use for light duty recovery situations.

It's easier to keep the lenses clean once you polish them up good. Just buff them with compound once in a while.

Not sure if it's true, but I've heard if you clear coat them after polishing out helps. FWIW I've had one of those kits sitting my garage for about 4 years, and have yet to use it. I just feel with the dumpy looking headlights.

    Bone stock. For now.
I did mine about 9 months ago with some no-name kit and they are just starting to haze again. I think I may do it again sometime, then spray it with clear coat.

I originally restored mine after 12 years or something and it looked brand new. Didn't clear coat or anything, 8 months later the lens was pretty much worse.

Restored them again and used a clear coat application specifically for restored headlights. It's not a permanent or professional one but one of those spray and wipes every time you wash it. (Blue Magic or something like that). It prolonged the oxidation a bit but after a year+ it was hazed again.

The fact is you're sanding off the plastic lens to expose fresh untreated plastic. Here in CO with the UV and weather, that plastic needs to be professionally (or similar) clear coated in order to last.

I've seen guys literally spray clear coat, from an aerosol, on their headlights and not only does it look weird but it also appeared to mess with the light output/distribution. Seemed scattered.

Sounds like I'll. Just leave them hazy then....
