They don't call it the garden spot of America for nothing. If I ever moved from here I sure would miss the local produce.

    Also, good lookin' grub Pete!

I used to live in ohio and we raised the biggest juiciest red tomatos. Heck you didn't even have to grow them yourself everyone was Always asking "you need any tomatos"? Here have a bagful.

Good local produce has me eating a lot of salads lately. I have some eggplant for tonight, maybe breaded and fried but I'm not sure yet.

So today was a sad day... I went downstairs at my work to get my breakfast samig (fried egg, ham, bacon, and cheese on a bagel) I went back upstairs to eat at my desk and when I got back... the fucking egg was raw! not sunny raw but whites not cooked all the way raw! needless to say, I am not eating breakfast!

    Almond Flour Pizza Recipe

    Crust:
    • 2 Cups Almond Flour
    • 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
    • 1/2 tsp. Salt
    • 1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
    • 2 Eggs
    • 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
    • 3/4-1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese or Italian Mix or Parmesan

    • Preheat oven to 350*
    • Mix contents together into a "dough" ball
    • Place ball on oiled pizza tray and mash into pizza crust (as thin as you want or deep dish)
    • Bake for about 15 minutes or until top is slightly browned
    • Remove from oven

    Toppings:
*you can put whatever toppings you want on it....here's mine
    • Organic Marinara
    • Large, Deli-sliced Pepperoni
    • Quartered Artichokes
    • Mozzarella Cheese

    • Add toppings
    • Put back in oven until cooked how you like it (we like it when the cheese just starts to brown)
    • Remove and enjoy.

    Finished Product

It was delicious and the crust is way better than the cauliflower one we tried.

Looks good! Cooking anything gluten free can be a bit of an adventure.
I have a pizza crust recipe that uses sorghum, tapioca and potato flours if you're interested. I've had good luck with it and it has a nice chewy/crunchy texture.

Last day of vacation, so I sent the wife and kids to the resort's pool and made dinner for them. We found a store here in Ft Lauderdale that sells south african sausage and I paired that with lamb tjops (also a south african favorite - my wife and I grew up there, so we like the traditional foods)
I made potatos baked with butter , then topped with bacon bits, mozzerella and cheddar cheese. Green beans sautéd in butter with bacon. Just like home.

Lasts nights dinner, T-bones with redlobster biscuits and tried the new steakhouse au grutan patatos. Which were good for being from the box. I made the T-bones with just a little garlic salt on the grill and I finished mine with a little butter.

i might be trending towards vegetarianism.. okay..not really.

but my meat consumption is way diminished.

here i dressed some pasta up with a sauce made of peas and asparagus. effen GREAT!! tonight's dinner.

my wife is stunned. she loves how we have been eating lately. so much so, she is trying to take advantage. she is jogging 3 miles a day..

    woohoo!!
