2002 jeep wrangler and 2002 doge ram 2500. No complaints with either. It was time for a little luxury and upgrade. Got a 2013? 4wd air all the goodies added harbor freight off-road lights and hard tonoue cover with "pop" lock on tail gate. Very satisfied!

Before the RS 8.0 drove a 2005 Grand Cherokee the 5.7 Hemi was just a bit to bad on gas.

Before the accident, I had driven passenger cars of varying flavors back into my early 20s. Simply an economic decision, really....cheaper to own and operate when you run used, old, semi-beat up POSes.

Now, once into my late 20s, I had been getting newer and nicer cars. The last two had under 10K on them when I got 'em.

I had been talkin to the wife-unit about getting back into a pickup off and on for about two years. I had been driving a not-too-bad and dirt cheap Taurus (bought from a friend when their elderly mother stopped driving) as my back and forth work driver.

Then I got into a snafu on i95 heading to work one day in Nov of '09. Rear-ended by a Grand Marquis going 60ish. I was stopped at the time. The collision was so violent my coffee mug, on the center console, slammed straight up hard enough to blow the rear-view off into the back seat and embed itself in the windshield.

So, while I was off work for a few weeks getting my various injuries tended...the wife asked about replacing the Ferd. I told her about my research into trucks again and that I wanted to check out a Taco.

Brought home the '06 later that week.

Drove her two years, traded her in on Betty here in May of '11 at just under 100k.

And now you know...the REST of the story.

02 Tacoma, fixed with curse words.
1993 jeep cherokee and a 94 jeep yj.

I always wanted to build a Toyota truck, bought the Taco with no intention of wheeling it until the jeep died. I took it wheeling once under immense peer pressure, and subsequently sold the jeep a few months later. I was in the middle of a 1ton swap on the jeep at the time!!

How far back are we going, here?
Immediately before my 2nd gen I had a 99 ext cab 3.4l 4x4 w/the TRD package and a 5 speed. The frame rustified, and Toyota said "LOOK! A check with your name on it!"

Before that I've had a whole slew of Nissans and Jeeps with a few odds and sods for the sake of variety.

    Yowzas.
Never had one of those, unfortunately.
Did have one of these, though. Used to tow my Radio Flyer around with it.

I started out in a 1985 Chevy El Camino (still have it), then after sliding into a guard rail going 5mph, I bought a 1997 Ford Explorer 4x4 (sold it when I bought my Tacoma), and also had, briefly, a 1981 dodge w250 4x4, didn't have enough time to get it started and it sat around for a few years so I sold it to the junk yard. No pictures on my phone of any I the three but maybe I will post some later.
