One last question lol.. How many questions were on your written test?

 

Only reason they check finances is to see how vulnerable you are to take a bribe or money/drugs you confiscate. The interviews are to go over your PHS and PHQ. If you have any differences in your answer, they will ask about it. Other than that it's tell me about yourself and what makes you a good candidate.

 

Cool, thanks. Puts the mind at ease a bit to know the purpose behind the processes I didn't even know bribes were that big of a problem in Hawaii.

And forgive my ignorance, but what are the PHS and PHQ?

I'll ask my co worker her son just graduated from the academy.

 

They do things like credit checks to check on your financial stability. If you're not stable, you would be more likely to steal/ take advantage of employer or as you said, be a crooked cop.

I had to take a psych/ personality test, don't know if it's similar or not. Basically they asked you a question in about 10 different ways throughout the test. Then they would see if your answers were consistent or not...
For example it asked if it was okay to take a pen home from work, or if you would turn in your mom if you knew she was stealing ... Same principle of theft, but in two different situations.

My employer also asked to pull driver abstract. I also had to get clearance to work at the airport, I think FBI has to do a background check and give the ok for that one.

I had an FBI background check to work for the census. And I think they do all the firearms checks yeah?

Pre history survey and pre history questionnaire. The PHQ is computer with about 20 questions. PHS is hand written that's more indepth but same type of questions as the PHQ.

Yea the psych test is basically the same questions just worded differently. When you take the test your gonna be like I just answered that question. Not sure if it changed but they had a pre psych and post psych which was pretty much the same questions but the tests were given at different times and they would compare to see if there were any changes in your answer. During the psych interview they ask you why you answer this but then you answer this.

they just released the dual 3+ case, there is an option to film in 3d now. just need 2 GoPro's hehe

 

My brother showed up to his interview in his Long's uniform lol.. They gave him some shit for it, but he grads from the academy this August.

Yeah it will climb. If you ask me it's because of the storm on the East Coast. Most of the stocks fell a little today.
