So i bought the SR5 OFF ROAD 4DR in early 07. I with all my cars in the past, I get bored n wanna do something fresh to them. I did put a flowmaster 40 muffler with a sweet tip. Sounds awesome. My original tires are not gonna give me justice through winter in Chicagoland. I went to the local Discount Tire shop and they made a nice package for me. It includes a set of sick set of 18" Rockstar wheels and tires. This also means that the tires are not that big with stock suspension. Which route should i go? Buy 18s and the tires for $1500 or go with my stock wheels, get a 3" lift kit and big boy tires on my stock 16's for just about the same price. I do like the look of black wheels w chrome accents. But my truck lifted would put all my ass f150 friends to shame. Either or will cost me about the same. HELP!!!

Which lift you gonna put on? Sounds like you made your decision already. Gonna put all your F150 friends to shame.

luke you know what you need to do. I also live in the chicago area and you will have no better traction w/ 18" wheels on stock suspension than with your oem setup. Get a lift, get some fat tires, powdercoat or paint the stock 16's and wala.
