I guess I've got to start this very soon....

Everyone I asked at the time said it could potentially void a warranty. So I tried to be as safe as possible.

And on too of that, I'm in California... Stupid emission laws... I would like simple upgrades like an intake but California says so. So if I choose to I must keep all my stock parts to hook everything back up for smog and or dealer services.

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
After randomly mashing at the dunes last weekend, the truck was pretty filthy.

So I had it detailed today.

I had a master detailer who runs his business out of a local dealership acid washed, clay bar'd, and applied 2 coats of PermaPlate on my truck ALONG with cleaning my interior and engine bay...........all for a whopping $80.

That RIDICULOUS "$1500 PermaPlate coat" option the finance person tries to sell you when you sign your papers for your truck is a complete rip off for sure, unless you can get it done professionally for $80. ;)

How did I do this????? Well, that master detailer is my good friend. :D

On long trips, I can EASILY get 18-19 setting the cruise control. City/around the town driving sucks it up though---15-16 at best depending on how much stop and go. Damn Load E rated all terrain 285's are heavy bastards, but with the SC the engine spins them just fine. The tires are the main culprit of the MPG penalty, not the supercharger in my opinion.

In most cases, driving like a normal human being, the engine doesn't have to see positive boost from the SC for it to run easy. It runs a lot more peppy even at ZERO psi than it ever did without the SC.

This is crazy, due to that fact that no matter how mild I am on my throttle, I can't seem to break 18.5mpg combined.

Yeah, a ton of factors can come into play with mpg's....I see you've got a '14, the engine should be a little more efficient as the motor loosens up. I know the first 2 months of owning my truck it was getting absolute CRAP gas mileage, like 12-14 no matter how much I laid off the skinny pedal.

You're about where the factory rates these trucks at, but the 4.0 isn't known for its efficiency either way. Reliable workhorse yes, fuel efficient for today's midsize truck standards no lol.

Got my ICON stage 1 dropped off today, and went ahead and put the rear shocks on. Would have installed the whole kit but we are heading out to the beach tomorrow and I didnt want to drive 700 miles without it being aligned. All I can say is wow the quality is awesome! Cant wait to get the front put on. Also a few days ago got my Method NV's put on the stock tires for now.

Detailed it up today. Clay bar'd, Zaino Z-5 2 coats wax and tomorrow another coat of Z-2. Changing out front, rear and transfer oils this weekend. What do you guys recommend for spark plugs? I'm at the 30,000 mile mark and need advice.

Have a happy and safe 4th everyone.

From what I've heard most people like to use Denso plugs all the way around. I'm also at 30k and am about to change mine out maybe this weekend.
