Powder or Paint new wheels?

Purchased a set of silver FJ wheels, but wanted the black ones. I was thinking of have them powder coated, but wanted ya'lls opinion and experience. They would mainly be used on-road.

Also wanted your opinion on color, Black (satin or gloss), Anthracite, or other? My truck is BSP with all badges removed and all chrome gone or coming off soon (truck will be blacked out.)

What do you think?

 

I'd do a flat black, that would look hot

 

powdercoat last long, but so will painting it. thats IF you do it right

Black is what I was leaning towards. No offense to Razor, the wrinkle coated wheels look good but it's just not me.

I guess my biggest concern was it the paint would hold up as well as powder coating. If I do paint, I would have it done at a local body/paint shop.

Paint shop quoted $100 to for the set. Powdercoater wants $50 per wheel to coat plus $40 per hour for prep (remove the factory paint/powder.) He said if I prep them the only charge would be just the $50 per wheel. Has anybody removed the factory color off the wheels, and if so, how?
