Would love to have one of our own eventually. Was told that it was suicide to ask significant others to go there. Totally down for a fosters night again tho...

 

Oh Boy...FWIW, from someone old enough to be your Dad and married longer than you are old, rest assured, it is not the asking or going, it is your own self control and actions.

Not sure of the total plan, thought I read some off-roading, food and beer. Lot of trucks planned to attend.

I agree, lol. Been with my soon to be wife over 10 years. Even if I do look, at this point, she just waives it off and says "look all you want, you're still coming home with me so don't get excited".

Hooters restaurant, most of these trucks are coming from inland empires with no beaches.

Honestly Dan, consider this. I have a wife, a 26 year old daughter, married with two girls. See any kind of pattern. When our dog died years ago, I lost my only understanding friend.

Seriously, all the girls are great. But grandkid #3 is due in Sept and I was told is a boy.

Here are some better pictures of the GoPro I have for the Taco. Just so you can get an idea for how I did mine. I actually placed the wiring under the cup holders so that i could take them out and hide the wire if i ever needed to. If you're not concerned about that, you could always wire it into one of the empty switch slots, or even behind the HVAC control panel to make it less "in the way"









I mounted it up higher because i leave it in the car most of the time. The little strip of tint on the windshield protects it from the sun for the most part. Combine that with my already tinted windshield and it is almost not noticeable unless you are looking for it.

Trying to find some interesting places to take pics at & wheel through. Pretty tough finding that down here.

 

Tac, I searched and found youtube stuff on the aerojet facility. Kind of neat to hear the history of it.

Sounds like they just left the rocket in the prepared hole. Something like 125 deep with 4 feet of solid concrete for the walls. Video stated it was the deepest hole ever dug in South Florida.

Tac, how are the spindles working out? Can you post some photos. I am debating going with spindles or keep it as is.

Just want some photos of a known install to see how it sits.

FWIW, and you can not wheel there, have a look at what Johnathon Dickinson State Park was in previous years.

As it was known during WWII era, Camp Murphy, the test and training grounds for what was then early Radar. The place basically a small city, with thousands of buildings. All supposedly for how to train the military on how to install telephone poles and wires.

Today, the campground is where the hospital was, some but not all paved roads are there, most bunkers are covered, and the buildings are gone.
