My 2010 X came to me at a good price. Along with this, it came with some, well, lets just say "issues".

One of them is the carpet. While it appears that the dealership made a pretty good effort to clean the carpet, it is nasty. Either someone used this truck as the ring for a greased pig contest or there was hot stripper oil wrestling going on in the cab. It also has a hole in it at the driver's side heel area.

I notice that black is an available carpet color for the 2012+ trucks. I am thinking that black carpet would look pretty damn good in my truck, where can I buy a carpet kit without paying dealer prices? (they probably want like $700 or something for it)?

Check out this place : http://www.accmats.com you can order any color or any material you want. I did closed loop style carpet in a dark charcoal and It came out great and is massively more durable that reg pile carpet. They have options for sound deadening backing etc too and great prices. It will be a rough cut molded piece so it will fit the floor properly but you will have to trim it to fit around the edges, super easy though.

I know 'mr. google' but was hoping someone could chime in with experience with a place that sold vinyl.
I will look again but I didn't see it at that link.

I have an aftermarket vinyl mat in my 87 2wd. Looks and works really nice and has held up well. Shall have to dig through the pile of receipts that came with the truck and see where it came from.

Vinyl floors are not all they are cracked up to be if you are a clean freak. Mine always seems to look slightly dirty.

I know they will show more dirt than carpet but hoping the floor could be washable/rinseable by hand unlike carpet.

Where is the material selection? I selected my truck and the only thing that comes up is "cut pile". Is that same as OEM style? (I know nothing about carpet).
Also, you say they are rough cut, does that mean just trim the edges or do you have to cut all your penetration points (seat bolts, shifter, etc)? Not a huge deal as I have installed a couple of carpet kits before.
The one for my VW was awesome, all factory cut/stitched, holes for seat bolts/shifter all cut and reinforced.
The one I put in my 86 4x4 was a poorly made lump of carpet that took a lot of work to make look decent and work.

ETA: I read more on ACCs website, lots of answers there. Thanks!

I would be leery of hosing out the interior but some soapy water and a nylon brush followed by a wipedown with a sacrificial towel does the trick.

    Ahh, gotcha.

I have heard "I want a vinyl floor so I can use the garden hose to clean my interior" a couple of times before.

You have to cut everything yourself, every penetration, they didn't have the loop carpet on the site when I got mine but they will do it if you ask. I would highly suggest the closed loop it looks soooo much better.

I would be shocked if the OE flooring was not 4x the price of ACC...seriously
