Cops were called as I was putting on a show for the neighborhood kids. Yeah, of course I do not have a permit for all these mortars. So they had 23 on the scene for little old me, again. What a waste of time and money. Upset all the kids and their families too.

Put on a great cookout, did games, water balloon/ gun fight, 15 minute talk on safety before I started the show. Right as I got to the mortars, they came from all directions.

I will leave Skygear to release where he lives but I can attest that the cops in the jurisdiction where he lives are a little on the asshole side. (the majority)

Yep, he saw my kids walking out of the house with fireworks. I could see the rage building.

Fairfax - There were 18 other mortars going off in the immediate vicinity that I could count. That was while I was getting shut down. Not even one looked away from me. They made a parameter around me and were looking IN not out. All with their hands on their sidearms. Warms my heart knowing they feel I am that much of a threat.

We started at almost 9pm and it was still light out. Wanted to start slow with the bottle rockets and couple sparkler pops. Every 20 rockets I would pop a mortar. All the kids were playing with snap and pops, and lady finger firecrackers. Wasn't even dark enough for the 2' sparklers I had for them. Or the 40 8shot Thunder stick Roman candles. Got a bag full of 70 mortar shells, and couple hundred Bottle rockets left too.

any of you guys know of some good concealed carry classes in the area? preferably one that does hands on training? I found one in culpeper that seems pretty good. I would rather stay closer if possible though.

Definitely sell and put the $$ towards one made for the truck. Easiest solution and is a win win scenario. If you tried to fabricate, the windows would get in the way and it would be a PITA.

Yeah what Skygear said. Probably closer to 300. Don't be afraid to get a rattle can or two of paint and make it look like new
