super or uni strut is available in zinc, galvanized and stainless. Prices increase in that order as well. If you go with strut, you can get many accessories for them however the weak link is still the attachment to the plastic side wall of the bed. The D rings that bolt up to the frame will be the stronger attachment point.

As for flatbed conversion, works ok as long as you build it to match the original box weight wise or the truck will ride really rough without a load.

Felt pretty lame stuffing new flat moving boxes into the cab vs using the bed! I'm in Orange County Ca and wondering if anyone had a recommendation on where I can take my truck to get a replacement liner professionally installed. I'm not interested in ordering and putting it in by myself. I'm not made of money but I'm prepared to invest in getting the perfect replacement. Thanks again for reading..

    It's not a liner.
Your entire bed is a single piece composite casting. The fenders attach to it.
It is a dealer item, and they are going to charge several thousand dollars to replace it.

    I'd recommend Glendora Toyota.

Just in case OP is not a troll and still doesn't understand the design drawing that some previous poster put up, here's something more visual.

It's not a liner. You remove the bedsides and you get this:

That black thing is what you'd need to replace.

Thank you! What is the correct term for that black thing? I just want to secure the cargo, I only have 2 rings left closest to the tailgate. Is there even a way to attach a cargo net with what I have now?

When you go to the dealer, they will have a list of the parts you need.
Basically, the bed and rail mounting system is what we can see you need off the bat.

Unfortunately, Toyota did not feel the need to install D-rings in the front of the bed. A lot of people have installed a 2nd set to the front where it mounts to the frame.
You can also install another pair more up in the front corners if you provide good reinforcement to the bottom of the bed so they don't rip out.

The bed rails are pretty stout, and are plenty for a cargo net, but I wouldn't go tying down a refrigerator or dirtbike using them.
