Those rail tents look fancy, too bad I can't fit dirt bikes underneath. :D

They're also freaking expensive when I looked at 'em.

The conclusion that I have drawn after reading the last page of posts is that it must just be non-Taco owners who are slobs in the outdoors

Down past the elk refuge, used to camp there (roughly) in my old scout 2 when I lived in Jackson. Followed my then girlfriend (now wife) out there when we first met. There's a tree or two in those hills with our initials carved in them :)

Just got my set up in and trial fitted. Napier truck tent and truck bedz air mattress. Originally a northeast guy now living in SC, camped last weekend and convinced myself I need more of it. Cant afford a travel trailer now, but will make this work until then!

Camping just off smokey river, some friends stopped by for a drink, then we had another guest come through while we were hiking, he never touched anything, just left some scat 10 feet away from the truck<br/>

Agreed. Got a nice view, stream flowing behind you, and plenty of trees for some privacy.

Yup. It was my favorite spot of the trip. The fact that it wasn't a designated camp ground helped.

Just finished looking through the new thread you created as well. Lots of good picture moments. Would love to do something like this one week. Me and the wife are actually planning a trip to Linville Gorge here coming up next month, but we won't be doing any camping this time around. We will be staying in a hotel this time since it's out first trip in the area. Don't know what to expect, but next time will involve tents and such.:)

It was good to meet you Lisa. Glad you found some mooses! We saw hundreds if not a thousand elk, plenty of moose and I saw more bears this year than all the previous 18 years combined. We had a lot of rain and clouds this year. No problem. There was a lot of snow left on some of the roads off of FS15. We never were able to drive across FS10. Too much snow. It was a great trip.
