You're much more generous regarding the talent and the idiot coaching them. Can you explain 6-6? I think my best case for them would be 5-7.

 

Haven't been on here much lately. Been busy.

Got a scheduled install for AT&T U verse since Direct tv hasn't reached an agreement with the SEC network. I've called and requested it, requested it from the SEC network website. D tv tells me they're in negotiations to just hang tight. It's getting too close for me to wait. I will have. 30 day trial with U verse so D tv will have right up until opening day to potentially keep me, if I haven't already cancelled by then. My question is for those with U verse what should I expect? Have y'all been happy with it? I've heard the picture quality isn't quite as good. I love the quality of D tv and my dal which is Charter so I really don't want to switch. I'm not sure about the U verse internet. I had AT&T Internet before and it sucked so I hate switching from a cable DSL. Of course it will save me a bit monthly, just don't want to be stuck with shitty service for the next year.

Any input is appreciated.

Granted Arkansas went 0-7 in the SEC but anything can happen. Look at Auburn a few years ago....National Champions & then went to shit....and then bounced back again.

Well I can't advise you on U-verse as it isn't here yet... been told it's coming and can't wait so it'll give Cox some competition. But anyways, my son tells me that the SEC Network is going to carry the 3rd tier games because CBS & ESPN will carry the top 2 games of the week. So I'm thinking Bama, UGA, LSU, Aubarn, aTm, etc. will certainly draw the top 2 games of the week unless they're playing St. Mary's Blind Academy. I'm hoping there won't be that many good games on there... we'll see.

 

That's the way I understand it as well. However, the first game for Auburn is a conference and division game (vs. Arky) and it's slated for the new SEC network. I'm planning on going so it doesn't matter to me, and I know Arky wasn't very good last year, but that's still a significant game, no?

 

It is definitely a significant game.

 

Significant In the sense that it's a division game. SEC network because no one wants to watch Arky get spanked.

An article from 12 days ago...Time Warner Cable & Direct TV have yet to add the SEC network......mainly discussing Kentucky Wildcat fans being pissed off.

On another note, Time Warner is the only cable provider around Columbia, SC ( Home of the Carolina Gamecocks). It'd be pretty piss poor if you live 10 minutes from the game & the channel doesn't exist on your cable. I can see cable losing a shit ton of subscribers. Dish network, here I come!

 

Yeah, I'm in the same boat, Xfinity/Comcast is al that's offered in my area, U Verse is starting to show up, but my hatred of AT&T runs pretty deep. I also read that more and more providers would get on board with the new network as the season approaches. They just try to hold out for the best contracts, just like everything, it's all about the money.

these kind of things aggravate me. Ohio State had a beef with Ohio university over something petty and Notre Dame had a beef with some high school about using the irish name. Probaly all boils down to the almighty dollar.

 

Glad you enjoyed your visit. I've been impressed, after joining the SEC, of just how respectful all the fans are.

 

It might just be the homer in me, but I think the USC A&M game will be extremely close. I think it comes down to who has the ball last.

 

Our entire team is questionable this season. We lost a bunch of talent on both sides of the ball. I honestly have no idea how that game will go. Plus we typically don't play well in the 1st game.
