Didn't know the 226 had conversions

I'm leaning that way, I haven't shot the 226 but I have shot the M&P

    Cool, thanks for the info.

Caliber options, the more the better, especially when they're common calibers.
I'll be getting a 9mm conversion for my .40 so I can shoot some of my dads 9mm ammo.

Just got back from putting a couple hundred rounds through my AR and my carry gun. Good way to blow a couple hours on a Sun afternoon.

If you're in the market for a Sig in 9mm I'd wait and take a look at the new P320 coming out. Pretty groovy little striker fired piece of tupperware.

I spent some time yesterday shooting on the range on our property. I took out some of my MILSURPS and was teaching a friend to shoot a rifle - she had never shot one before. I started her on an M1 Carbine, moved to an Enfield No1 Mk5 (Jungle Carbine), then the M1 Garand and finished with a Mosin Nagant M91/30 PU sniper.

My wife was shooting too and she took some photos while she was waiting to fire. She got this one of my last round with the Garand - you can see the last brass casing ejecting forward and up at the right top of the photo and also the en bloc ejecting to the right rear just in front and above my head. I love the Garand!

Won't it just melt out first time you put a few rounds through it?

I've done this before and it actually holds together really well. Especially if you put a hardshell wax over it like Blue Armadillo. I have an early XD and I've had to keep it waxed and oiled from day 1 to keep it from rusting, and crayon put on under the wax works great.

what he said^ I haven't shot yet but from what people have said no one has had any problems with it melting. I'm sure after putting enough rounds through without letting it cool it probably would but its easy enough to clean up.

Looking at buying a glock g19 gen 4 for my wife. Anyone know if you can order lower capacity magazines for them? I know they come standard with the 15-round magazines but if I end up getting orders back to california in a couple years I don't want to have to sell the gun if I can just order a $30 part to be legal (course the way they're going everything will be illegal by then).

Should I go this route or stick with the gen 3? We are dead set on the g19 because it was what she shot at the range and was comfortable with.

Cdnn is also a good place for mags. If you do have to go to California you can probably even trade the 15 rounders for 10 rounders to someone.

Felony.. Unless its a gun dealer or law enforcement. As of 2014 it's a crime to import "hi cap" parts kit.... Most local gun stores will have 10 round mags.

Not a felony to trade 15 rounders to 10 rounders in states that allow it....never meant to trade them in California. So no not a felony

felony. if you've ever touch hi-cap mags or assault weapons parts you can be arrested for being a potential future murderer in California.
