and don't use the high pressure setting. Bad for bearings and electrical contacts. Stick to low pressure rinse.

A few more pics from the trip yesterday. More Jeeps than Toyotas. Seems around here the Tacoma guys just build trucks to look cool...

Found that my exhaust pipe was nearly rusted through just past the muffler. So...

I have always wondered the same thing. Will a 99+ maf work well with the older ECU? The 99+does look better but toyota keept the same power rating of the 3.4 for all Tacoma years.

I started with wetting everything, then I sprayed a whole bottle of simple green all purpose cleaner and a cheap "heavy duty" engine degreaser. scrubbed a bit with a wheel brush and old tooth brush. Put the power washer on med-high to rinse. Then gunk brand engine shine after.

I believe it. My truck doesn't see much dirt, lol.

I'll be guilty of this... :p

Well we had 10 rigs only 2 Tacoma's. I post for off road trips on here and it's like pulling teeth to get some Tacoma guys to go. Never had a 1st gen go. Maybe the trails are too tough. If I didn't have friends with jeeps I would be going solo more than not.

on a separate note, not sure if I like my exhaust cutoff just past the muffler. Its mostly unchanged sound wise unless compression braking when there is a loud bass sound reverberates in the cab. Not too big of an issue except that I compression brake alot on the trails.

I had to cut it off since it was close to falling off but I may end up getting a new exhaust.

My muffler was rusted away. I installed a flowmaster 40 and it was much better. I ended the tail pipe just after the the axle.
