    baby came today at 10:16 am. weighing 6.5 lbs and measuring 20". so happy this day finally came. Anyways can someone and im sure TomTom will answer, but whats the pros to removing the sway bar?

    Remove mudflaps, Plasti dip badges/ lower val/ and grill, Plasti dip wheels, 5% tint all around, Tinted tails and 3rd, 55w driving lights in rear, Blue LED light strip in bed, Blue LEDs in cab/ cup holders...
    Congrats on the new addition! The sway bar limits suspension flex offroad so removing it or being able to disconnect it lets each side move less restricted.

    Like Ghostdog said, less restriction... Some people say you have "better" turning.. I honestly didn't see a difference when I removed mine... I know insurance companies frown upon it becase it makes the vehicle less safe. The only reason I did the swaybar delete was because my Icon's and TC UCA's wouldnt fit. So my options were either, remove it, or get a relocation kit. I would've prefered the relocation kit, but at the time that wasnt an option for me and my buddy was able to just do it right on the spot.

    Couple things to add to Max's and Kyle's posts:

    1. A sway bar is actually an anti-sway bar. It prevents your vehicle from excessive roll when turning. Too much roll and the vehicle rolls (as in all 4 wheels up). It does limit articulation since it transfers some of the flex from one side to the other. Removal increases that articulation, particularly in an IFS where the two sides are supposed to be independent of each other. This can result in better handling in certain circumstances (hitting a pot-hole, off-roading, etc.) More body roll will be noticeable but can be counteracted to a certain extent by being more conservative in driving habits.

    2. Every state I've lived in has a statute that prohibits the removal or disabling of safety devices from a vehicle. More than the insurance companies care.

    Baby girl. I may remove it and see how it feels. Clovis roads are horrible and truck is all over when hitting uneven surfaces and big bumps let alone the pot holes

    To clarify one thing, a sway bar won't prevent rolling all together. It just helps prevent it.
