    Morning peoples.
Having some coffee from Louisiana this morning.
    Pretty darn good.
Was going fishing this morning but will wait till this afternoon.
Hate the 4th weekend as all the morons get on the water and then the wardens show up.
Don't want the hassle. Leave me alone, so I'll wait.

We also had a little mystery that we solved:confused:....My son opened a cold Fosters "oil Can" while we were getting dinner made. He set the can down, turned around and when he went to get it again, it was gone:eek:...we searched around and found the thief with the evidence:rolleyes:...see picture VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV

Disclaimer...no puppies were given any beer, he is such a sound sleeper, that after a long day he totally zonked out and we could pose him with the can:D...

 Morning Ken. Glad your 4th weekend was safe and enjoyed by you and yours. Likewise here. Weather was beautiful Friday and Saturday. Stayed close to home as all the close in worthwhile road accessible destinations get over-run with people on the Summertime holiday weekends. Had a great time at Mitch and Meghen's Friday night. Beers, moose burgers and brats on the grill with s'mores and fireworks around the fire in their backyard fire-pit after. Meghen's parents and godmother joined us and we all had a great time. Kristi worked Saturday and I completed a D-ring installation project on the Ranger 6x6 and ran the truck through the local carwash. Still need to hand wash the truck as it came out mud speckled after the blow dryers. I think there's still quite a bit of Petersville dirt in the wheel wells and undercarriage.

Rain Sunday put my car washing intentions on hold (Highlander needs a bath as well). Took grandkids to see a movie and had dinner at our favorite Mongolian BBQ place. Grands spending the night with us now.

Looks like weather today might be conducive to getting both vehicles washed; need to change oil in the truck as well. Starting the day at DMV when they open. We received the registration for the Highlander and I need to transfer Kristi's personalized tags over. Glad we have a DMV office 2 mins away; it's generally not too crowded as compared to the ones south of us in Eagle River and Anchorage; going to one of those locations can be a "pack a lunch" all day affair.

Sorry for the "novella" here, that's what you get from a mid-shifter when he wakes up at 1:30AM and can't go straight back to sleep.

Love the puppy picture!

Have a great day all! :)

it was a nostalgia day race weekend so you would have had super sticky skivvies with some of the Oldsmobile's there also running high 11's. talk about a day of old school racing,

all the new cars are making hot hp numbers, our ford escape had a 1.6 l that made 178 . the 2.3 L vw's at the track were making 240 on carbs to 400 with a turbo stuck on them. wild when we look back knowing they made 40 and 50 hp stock.

18 years old and knew how to drive it. 420 inch small block, that car hooked up right off the line and went straight as a arrow,

My first bug had 36hp from the factory, probably under 30 by the time I got it. And the brakes still weren't good enough to stop it. The canvas sunroof was tres cool though; I used to stand straight up while holding the gas pedal to the floor on hills, get some wind in the face.

Used the new bike rack twice, made some minor adjustments after the first trip. It's super easy to use now. If it holds up over time I'll be a happy camper.

Dropped the Tacoma off at the tint shop this am. Went over and had a sausage & egg muffin, went back to the shop...all done. Looks pretty cool now. Life is good.
